Alison Bechdel was first known as the author of a comic strip titled Dykes To Watch Out For. Bechdel walked away from that strip in order to write her memoir, Fun Home, (which became the basis for the Tony-award winning musical of the same name) and its sequel, Are You My Mother.

 

Our collaboration was documented by filmmaker Charissa King-O’Brien, in the short doc The Paper Mirror.
