Lennard Davis is Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Davis explores the political, literary, and ethical controversies of disability in numerous books and venues such as Enforcing Normalcy: Disability, Deafness and the Body; The End of Normal: Identity in a Biocultural Era, and memoirs including My Sense of Silence: Memoir of a Childhood with Deafness. He is a CODA: Child of Deaf Adult.
