The Zoom Portraits: Steven Solbrig

This drawing was accomplished over multiple Zoom sessions, and was commissioned by the Schwules Museum of Berlin. Solbrig currently resides in Leipzig, Germany.

Steven Solbrig (-/they) was born in 1984 in the former GDR and is white and disabled. In the early 2000s, Solbrig completed an apprenticeship in an institution for the disabled, including boarding school accommodation. Solbrig currently photographs, teaches, writes and performs in the field of disability arts/culture. In 2023 Steven was on stage with the lecture performance EUER HEIM IST UNSER ALPTRAUM in the basement of the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus in Berlin.
